Choose the adjustments you need

Assist Mode lets you tune individual parts of combat: reduce Enemy Aggression, widen the Perfect Dodge Window, or lower Enemy Projectile Speed.

Incoming Damage, Outgoing Damage, and Outgoing Falter can be adjusted independently; Outgoing Falter controls how quickly you break an enemy’s posture.

Increase Power Recovery Speed when supernatural ability management is difficult, or adjust Enhanced Melee Magnetizing to make melee positioning more forgiving.

Immortality, One-Hit Kills, and One-Hit Falters let you focus more heavily on exploring Manhattan and experiencing the story.

Changing presets, difficulty, and rewards

When can Assist Mode be changed?
You can enable or disable Assist Mode at any point during gameplay and adjust individual settings whenever you need them.
Can I begin with an Assist Mode preset?
Yes. Choose a preset built around a particular way of playing, then fine-tune its individual settings.
Can Assist Mode make combat harder?
Yes. Its sliders work in both directions, so you can increase Enemy Aggression or Incoming Damage and make the Perfect Dodge Window smaller for a more demanding experience.
Do Assist Mode settings block trophies or achievements?
No. Trophies and achievements are not gated behind Assist Mode, so you can use its settings as needed.
